John's Philosophy

I wouldn't be in this business if I didn't think that I could help people. Being accused of a crime is a frightening and intimidating experience. You need someone on your side who understands the criminal justice system and knows how to get you the best possible result.

I will be there 24/7 to answer your questions and give you my best advice. I will thoroughly investigate your case, identify the legal and factual issues that we can use in your defense, make sure that your rights are protected and be your advocate in court. Together, we will make the decisions that will resolve your legal problem and allow you to move on with your life, your reputation, and your liberty intact.

In any criminal case, the prosecutor has a vast array of resources to use against you. A trained and experienced police officer, professional experts, unlimited access to the latest scientific and forensic techniques.

We will turn this to our advantage. The prosecutor handles hundreds of cases and may only have a few minutes to devote to your case. The State's experts treat every case as if it was the same. I limit my practice to a few dozen cases at any one time and I will know your case inside and out. When we go to court, You are my ONLY client.

We will tailor your defense to the specific facts of your case. We can assemble our own team of experts when appropriate. Former police officers, former State Patrol breath test experts and former State Toxicologists, who know the weaknesses of the State's evidence and can help us to pick their case apart.

I believe in preparing every case to win in trial. By doing so, we are usually able to resolve cases before going to trial, by pretrial legal motions and negotiation.

In those situations where there are better options to be explored, such as treatment alternatives to conviction, I will help you to find the best and most suitable resources, to make the best decision and make sure that the most effective presentation of your case is made in court. I will be there for you throughout any period of probation or supervision to handle any problems that might come up.

Together, we will win!
